WEYMOUTH'S Calvin Brooks is set to join the British Army after passing his entry procedure.
The Terras, in a statement online, said: "Calvin has given great service to the club and he had a fantastic season and he will be missed by all at the club.
"We are hopeful that we will see Calvin in a Weymouth shirt again this season once he becomes available."
Brooks scored nine goals for Weymouth during the 2017/18 season and has been with the club since 2014.
Brooks, in a statement on the Terras' website: "Firstly I would like to say it has been an absolute pleasure to play in the claret and blue for this football club, I have enjoyed my time at the club enormously.
"A massive thanks to the fans for their unwavering support, especially when we had a couple of turbulent years. It means so much.
"It is time for me to put my career outside of football first but I hope to be back in the claret and blue as soon as possible, next season will be our season, up the Terras!"
