WEYMOUTH held their end-of-season presentation, with awards handed out to Brandon Goodship, Callum Buckley and Abdulai Baggie.

Keeper Mark Travers won goal of the season, with his award collected by Weymouth manager Mark Molesley, for his fantastic 75-yard effort to secure victory against Bishop’s Stortford in August.

Goodship scored 38 goals in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, six ahead of his closest rival in the division, to earn his golden boot award. Baggie was rewarded with the away fans’ player of the year award, while Buckley earned the manager’s player of the year.

Director of football, Paul Maitland said: “It was a good evening, everybody enjoyed themselves. It was nice to see quite a good number of fans there and for the fans, the staff and the board to engage all together. It was a nice way to finish off a good season.”

New keeping coach Robbie Yates was also in attendance and food was provided by the Marlboro fish and chip shop.

There was also special recognition awards for a raft of staff, including for the Away Travel Club and the pitch maintenance team.

Weymouth also announced that attacking duo Harry Baker and Baggie had agreed terms for next season at the event.
