SECOND-PLACED OTC kept up the pressure on leaders Gungho Marketing after beating Buglers.

Buglers got off to a great start, with a crucial interception in OTC’s D ensuring they scored the first goal. 

OTC showed their skill, however, making good use of space around the D to give their shooters every opportunity to score and some impressive shots ensured OTC had a small lead going into the middle quarters.

OTC came out with great energy, giving them an edge over their opponents. OTC’s Diane Sketchley (GD) and Lyndsey Pollard (GK) worked heard to limit Buglers’ scoring opportunities. Buglers responded with superb tactical play by WD Gemma Patten.

However, OTC continued to push ahead and both teams played well in the final quarter, with OTC making excellent use of space and Buglers creating tough defensive pressure. 

At the end of the match, OTC claimed the victory, thanks to skill and determination across court.

TABLE-TOPPERS Gungho Marketing continued to set the pace in the league after seeing off Wyke Smugglers.

An evenly-matched first quarter saw both teams come out fighting but, towards the end of the quarter, Gungho unleashed great attacking strength to claim a small lead.

Tactical changes by Gungho strengthened their defence, making Wyke’s shooters work hard for every goal. Wyke made some changes of their own, bringing Tracey Moore on as GS to combat the tough Gungho defenders but Gungho were able to maintain their lead.

Gungho’s shooting duo, Maisie Fowler (GS) and Jaimee Browne (GA) worked well together to increase their team’s lead and secure the victory.

BEAMINSTER BRAVES 22

BASEPOINT came out on top in this competitive top-of-the-table clash.
Braves were quick to move the ball down the court, but Basepoint’s GD Fiona Wilcox was there to intercept at the start of this intense encounter. 

Braves persevered, however, managing to carve out a small lead thanks to superb shooting from GS Niamh Randall.

Basepoint upped their game in the middle quarters – Mary Wells-West came on at WA, giving them an attacking edge to even out the scoreline. 

Braves fought back, with great defensive pressure from GK Lucy Bugler. 
Basepoint found their rhythm, however, to take the lead going into the final quarter.

The action-packed final quarter saw renewed determination from both teams, knowing either one could take the win. Each player gave their all, but in the end, it was Braves who managed to keep hold of the lead and claim a well-earned victory.

NMP PROPERTY are third after beating Café Oasis in this thrilling contest.
Both teams came on court determined. 
NMP’s Emily Clunes (GA) and Megan Edwards (C) made a great pair, working the ball well down the court to allow their team to carve out a small lead.

The middle quarters saw great, evenly-matched play across the court. Oasis found a good rhythm between their mid-court players, allowing them to lower the score difference slightly. 

However, some well-timed interceptions from NMP meant they were able to push back and retain their lead going into the final quarter.

Café Oasis upped their game, with solid defending from Tasha Reed (WD) – NMP kept up a strong attack, ultimately maintaining their lead and claiming the victory.
