BERE Regis captain Rich Cole feels his side have a good shout to go into the second of a tough duo of fixtures looking to get the right result away at Broadstone tomorrow in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League (1pm).

Bere narrowly failed to chase down Wimborne & Colehill last weekend but see Jacob Kennard and Sean Walbridge come into the side, with Crispin Brown and Rich Payne unavailable.

Cole said: “We know we are up against another good outfit. We knew that last weekend and this weekend would be some tough games. On the back of our performance last weekend I feel like we have a really good shout to go into it positively and look to get the right result.

“Unfortunately we have lost some of our pace attack due to availability.

“It is going to strengthen up our batting, with bringing Jacob in, with him now being available for the rest of the season.

“Some of his performances (Kennard) to date, albeit with limited game time he has had, can only bring us additional strength into our batting.

“He (Walbridge) is a veteran in Dorset cricket and I am sure will he provide us with a great bowling option and an experienced head.”
