CASTLE Cove Sailing Club member Jon Emmett finished in seventh place at an international sailing event held in Kiel, Germany.
There were more than 170 competitors in this Laser Radial Open competition, part of a week-long Kieler-Woche Festival.
Competitors came from all over the world to take part and finishing in the top-10 is a real achievement for Emmett.
Marketed as the largest summer festival in Northern Europe this is the 136th year of the event.
Emmett has been a member of Castle Cove Sailing Club for several years.
He said: “This is proving to be a successful year for me having been ranked number one in the UK earlier in the year. I consider myself to be very lucky to be able to continue to attend these events and enjoy the competition.”
