BERE Regis captain Rich Cole believes his charges have a “good momentum” leading into their tussle with Poole Town in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League tomorrow (1pm).
With consecutive victories against Broadstone and Swanage, Bere Regis currently sit in fifth, one of four teams separated by just 12 points.
But Cole is wary of Poole, who he feels are one of the strongest sides in the division, while also being mindful of a tricky Poole Park pitch.
He told Echosport: “We’ve got a good momentum going and it will be interesting to see what Poole have. I’d put them in the category of Broadstone and Dorchester. It’s a team that we haven’t seen a lot of, so it’s a lot of unknowns but we’re ready for it and up for the challenge.”
He added: “You have to be ready to adapt your batting or bowling style quickly. We’ve played at Poole Park a number of times with their seconds.
“We’ve got to get the toss right and if we don’t we’ve got to adapt.”
Bowlers Crispin Brown and Jacob Kennard are unavailable, so Nick White and Rob Cole come in.
Cole said: “Considering we had eight bowling options (last week) I’m sure we’ll be alright with the two missing.”
Bere Regis: Rich Cole, Keegan, G King, Payne, M King, Moss, Goodhew, Griffiths, Murphy, Rob Cole, White
