MARTINSTOWN captain Ed Nichols is looking to right some wrongs when their side play Swanage tomorrow in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier Division.

The game may be moved to 11.45am due to England’s World Cup quarter-final against Sweden (3pm).

Nichols said: “We had a strong chat after the game last week about how we bowled and how I think we are falling short in those kind of games and it is not through a lack of ability.

“We just need to get certain things right and put in complete performances.

“That was really well responded to and we had a good session on Monday so I think it is a good opportunity to right some wrongs and put in some complete performances and start winning again.”

Martinstown are on a three-match losing streak and face a side that are second-from-bottom but beat Shroton by 74 runs last week.

Nichols acknowledged Swanage’s tough start to the season but praised them for the quality in their side and Martinstown beat them in the first game of the season.

Nichols said: “They have had a tough start to the season but they always seem to have match winners and they have been better recently with the win last week so we are certainly not taking them lightly.

“We played well against them in the first game of the season and we want a repeat performance.”
