MARTINSTOWN captain Ed Nichols aims to “build a run of results” in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League ahead of their clash with bottom side Sherborne at Lower Ashton Farm tomorrow (1pm).
Nichols’ men beat Swanage in a high-scoring game last time out and the Villagers’ skipper is hopeful his side can now take that momentum forward while respecting Sherborne’s quality.
He told Echosport: “They’re a good side, I’ve been really surprised with their results. We’re certainly not taking it lightly.
“It’s a chance to play a side beneath us and build a run of results. There are runs in that side. There are guys who have made big scores before and they’ve got some variety in their attack as well.
“It certainly presents challenges but we’re quietly confident.”
Martinstown are set to make four changes from the team that beat the Swans.
Nichols said: “We’ve got a few changes from last week – they have a chance to prove what they can do at this level.
“Unfortunately we’re without the Popes (Tom and George), Teddy Andrews and Matt Camp, some of the main contributors.
“We’re bringing in Lee House, Sean Williams, Jamie Stewart off the back of 78 for the seconds and Jacob Coombs.”
Martinstown: House, Williams, Nichols, Maltby, Kershaw, Stewart, Hill, McNab, Read, Durant, Coombs
