BERE Regis’ skipper Rich Cole feels his team is “firing in every department” before welcoming Stalbridge to Bere Regis Rec for their Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League clash tomorrow (1pm).

Cole’s men have taken three victories from their past four games and chased down a huge target of 278 to down Sherborne last time out.

Now they face a Stalbridge side who emerged victorious from another high-scoring battle with Dorchester, and Cole is exercising caution prior to the meeting.

He told Echosport: “Stalbridge have had some good results over the last few weeks. We’re not expecting anything to be given to us.

“We need to bat sensibly and take our opportunities. Perhaps we didn’t take our opportunities in the away game to put their batting under pressure.

“We just need to maintain focus, keep patient throughout the game and stick to our gameplan. We’re going to try and put pressure on them early to create opportunities.

“We’ve got that belief that we’re firing in every department, we just need to bring it all together and do it consistently.”

Bere are expected to welcome back seamer Crispin Brown at the expense of Elliott Woodhouse in their only change.
