DORSET Giants comfortably towered over Devon Sharks 30-6 in a friendly game at Monmouth Avenue.
The game was played in the true spirit of rugby league but unfortunately Chris Norton received a nasty injury within three minutes of the kick-off.
In an accidental clash of heads he suffered the most with a nasty gash on his forehead, which needed four stitches, and sustained a suspected broken nose.
The game seemed to be evenly contested at first but once Andy Bowditch had powered over for the opening try the result was never in doubt.
Further tries from Lewis Richards, Andy Kay, Ryan Keeble Kinsella and Ryan Lewendon sealed the win and all five tries were converted by Kieron Mayle.
However the Sharks were able to get over the line and score a converted consolation try to make the score 30-6.
