DORCHESTER Town have agreed deals for midfield trio Cameron Murray, Callum Thompson and Josh Williams.

The treble signing comes less than 24 hours after loan duo Cameron Allen and Kingsley Latham were brought in from Bristol Rovers and Southampton respectively.

Murray, 23, a former Leeds United youth player who has non-League pedigree in northern England with York City, FC United of Manchester and Scarborough Athletic, is a tricky winger who has featured throughout pre-season for the Magpies.

Thompson, meanwhile, comes from good stock, joining father and manager Steve at the Avenue following an impressive summer, particularly against Yeovil where the midfielder held his own against the League Two outfit.

Williams joins after a spell with Exeter City and can play in midfield or defence.

Elaborating on his capture of the triumvirate, boss Thompson believes all three players have the opportunity to claim a regular first-team spot.

He told Echosport: “Those three have been with us through pre-season, especially with injuries at the moment. Obviously Ollie Griggs and Aaron Rodriguez are out.

“Those three boys have an opportunity to hopefully get game time and impress.

“We do have injuries and it’s important that we have 16 players available. They’ve got an opportunity to stake a claim in the squad long-term.”
