WEYMOUTH assistant-manager Tom Prodomo knows says his side have taken confidence from their 2-1 win over Taunton Town on Tuesday night as they look ahead to hosting Beaconsfield Town tomorrow in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South (3pm).

Prodomo also praised the crowd for their impact during that win, but insists they have done their preparation for the Beaconsfield match.

Prodomo said: “I think the boys are in a good place, they will gain confidence from Tuesday night.

“But like we said before it is important that we look to continue that momentum but we also show respect to Beaconsfield and make sure that there is lots of good quality from our game on Tuesday night.

“It was built on the attitude of the boys, it was built on the hard work of the boys and the willingness to give their everything to all parts of the game.”

Jordan Ngalo misses out and Stephane Zubar will later be assessed, while Warren Bentley has returned to the squad following a pre-arranged absence but the club will have to wait and see in terms of him playing on Saturday.

Discussing Saturday’s opponents, Prodomo said: “We have still been hard at work since Tuesday night.”

“As ever we have done our preparation on them. We respect all of our opponents, obviously with them being new to this division we have had to start quite early and make sure we get a good bank of information on them, which we have done.”

The Terras have had a good start to the season, beating Harrow Borough 3-2 away in the opening game, before their superb win at home to Taunton, which leaves them fourth in the table in the early stages of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Beaconsfield have had a difficult start to their campaign so far, claiming one point from their two games.

In their first match they claimed a 2-2 draw with Salisbury before losing 2-1 on Tuesday night away at Basingstoke Town.

First and foremost it was a pleasure to be back in front of the home fans and I thought they came out in good numbers and they were first class throughout the game which really helped the boys. Second of all quite pragmatically we were pleased with large elements of the performance, particularly after we had grown into the game. Any time that there is a late goal like that it leaves you with a good buzz.

“I think you could see at the end of the game and in the dressing room after it was a really good victory to bond the group together, knit them together again for another season and particularly for the newer boys that are around the group any victory is a good one but one like that in front of such a great home crowd just really reminds the boys of what a big club it is that they are representing.
