POOLE Town were thrashed 5-1 by Chesham United in a dramatic day in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South.
Kings Langley, also recorded a 2-1 victory at Salisbury to leave them perched on 54 points alongside Poole, with the Dolphins ahead due to goal-difference.
Wimborne were involved in an action-packed 4-2 loss at the Met Police.
The Police were 3-0 up after 20 minutes, and took that lead in with them at the break.
However, strikes from Luke and Toby Holmes narrowed the gap after 70 minutes in an end-to-end contest.
The Met found a fourth goal in the 83rd minute to kill the match off.
Elsewhere in the league, Basingstoke won 2-0 at Swindon Supermarine to pull clear of the relegation zone, which has become a very crammed race to avoid the drop.
Gosport lost to Tiverton Town, leaving them outside the relegation zone ahead of Dorchester only on goal-difference.
Harrow Borough also drew 1-1 with Merthyr Town, in a blow to both teams’ play-off ambitions.
Frome Town look set for the drop, after losing 1-0 at already relegated Staines Town to leave them nine points adrift with nine games to go.
