WEYMOUTH Rugby Club held its post-season Proficiency Award assessments and notched 19 honours.
The awards are an important tool to help players, teachers and coaches assess rugby union skills.
They are designed to be an enjoyable method by which players can identify their strong points and those they need to develop. Players can also assess and improve their levels of fitness.
This year Weymouth achieved a remarkable eight bronze and 11 silver awards.
The Seasiders' winners were Tom Lawday, Oliver Harding, Lewis Allan, Jake Keenan, Zach Budd, Cameron Avant, Luke Savage, James Yuille, Gareth Parkinson, Andrew Ford, Callum Gaughran, Thomas Glynn, Mike Newland, Sam Newland, Rhodri Tanner, Hamish Jeffcott, Josh Leatham, Sam Leatham and Chris Galloway.
Organiser and lead coach Gordon Harding said: "This year was particularly good with a very high standard of rugby skills demonstrated."
Weymouth Rugby Club will start the 2008-09 Proficiency Award skills training at the beginning of the upcoming season.
