A BROTHER and sister were two of the stars at the annual Tiger Golf Championship at the Lodmoor Pitch and Putt, which this year had a record field of more than 30 golfers.
Oliver (under-8s) and Maisie Coward (girls) each won the event they were competing in, but Ben Graham claimed the overall crown with a score of 32 – a championship record.
Luke Maddison (under-14s), Aaron Sawyer (under-10s), Mathew Reading (under-9s), Sam Trott (under-7s) and R Parfitt (dads) were the other winners.
Maddison beat James Spring by three shots in the under-14s and Sawyer edged out Alex Middlebrook by two shots in the under-10s.
Reading was three clear of George Jackson in the under-9s and Oliver Coward had the most emphatic win of the day, finishing 13 shots clear of the field in the under-8s.
Maisie Coward scored 50 on her way to a win in the girls and Trott beat Nathan Purnell by two strokes in the under-7s. Parfitt won the dads’ competition by a shot from I Middlebrook.
Results Overall champion: Ben Graham 32.
Under-14: Luke Maddison 34, James Spring 37, Sean Dimmick 38.
Under-10: Aaron Sawyer 38, Alex Middlebrook 40, Ewan Goodwin 44.
Under-9: Mathew Reading 37, George Jackson 40, Sam Rogers 46.
Under-8: Oliver Coward 37, Sam Ray 50, Kai Luke 54.
Under-7: Sam Trott 40, Nathan Purnell 42, Alex Johnson 47.
Girls: Maisie Coward 50, Shannon Parfitt 55, Ellie Gould 60, mily Hussey 62.
Dads: R Parfitt 28, I Middlebrook 29, D Coward 34.
