QUAYSIDE will secure the Weymouth Sunday League Championship crown tomorrow if they defeat Medics Away at the Marsh (all 11am).

Bobby Darch’s men have won 16 of their 18 games in the division so far this season and are fully expected to seal the title in style against a side that is struggling in the bottom three.

The Quay beat the Medics 9-0 earlier in the season and with Nick Gregg, Anthony Crane, Adam Anstey and Zak Chennit all due to return to the squad this weekend another big victory looks to be on the cards again.

The soon to be crowned champions will no doubt provide good competition in the top-flight next season but it is still unclear who will go up with them with just three points separating the four sides that remain in the race for second spot.

Alexandra are currently in pole position to claim that other promotion berth but fourth-placed SAS are also well positioned with a game in hand.

Both teams will also be in action at the Marsh where the Alex will take on Market House and SAS will face basement boys Dolphin.

John Gregory and Old Ship are the other two teams in the hunt. They will go to battle at Redlands against Rock and Old Castle respectively.

Meanwhile in the Premiership, Duke of Albany will be out to maintain their title push against reigning champions Rodwell.

The Duke have won their last six on the spin but need to continue that momentum to stand any chance of overhauling current league leaders Rendezvous, who still hold two games in hand on them.

Rodwell will no doubt go into the clash at Redlands hell-bent on revenge after suffering a miserable 5-0 defeat against the Duke back on September 21.

As for the Vous, they will take on second-bottom Snookes at the Marsh knowing two wins from their last four games will be enough to capture the championship for the very first time.
