COACH Alan Willows is hoping Dorset can overturn the formbook as they bid to reach the semi-final of the MCCA Trophy.
Dorset will be looking to book a place in the last four when they meet big guns Cheshire at Toft Cricket Club in Knutsford tomorrow.
They set up a trip to the north-west after edging through their group, with victory over holders Berkshire followed by defeat to Wales.
Willows said: “The forecast has changed a little bit with more showery weather expected than persistent rain so we are now expecting to play.
“It looked extremely doubtful earlier in the week but I have spoken to Cheshire and it is going ahead. We go there as slight underdogs but we are a good side and you don’t beat the holders if you aren’t a good side.
“We came up short against Wales and have got to make sure we turn it round for the game against Cheshire.”
Chris Jones, Josh Lawrence and Rupes Kitzinger have all been drafted in by Dorset with Charlie Esson and Jake Lintott left out and Jack Leach and Steffan Jones both unavailable.
Dorset: Williams, N Park, Jones, Lawrence, Khan, Cowley, Hicks, C Park, Denham, Wolstenholme, Barlow, Kitzinger.
MCCA Trophy quarter-finals: Cheshire v Dorset, Cornwall v Cumberland, Staffordshire v Suffolk, Wiltshire v Devon.
