TOTTON & ELING 2

(Feeney 33, Carter 48)

WEYMOUTH 2

(Joyce 12, Walker 61)

A FINE strike from skipper Scott Walker saved the Terras’ blushes in a hard-fought FA Cup first qualifying round clash at Little Testwood Farm on Saturday.

Despite being two leagues below Weymouth, Totton & Eling came into the game off the back of five wins from their previous six games and pushed their opponents all the way.

The Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division outfit made life difficult throughout and at one stage held a 2-1 lead only for the Terras to grab a replay, which will take place on Tuesday night at the Bob Lucas Stadium (7.45pm).

Weymouth led through an early strike from Ben Joyce before Craig Feeney and Sam Carter turned the tables with goals either side of the break. Walker then levelled matters again with a strike from the edge of the area.
