WEYMOUTH Golf Club held their annual finals day and it lived up to all expectations with five of the eight matches going to the last hole and beyond.

Tom Robson, who recently won the county Wimborne Cup at Parkstone, had to go to extra holes to fend off Pete Corrick to win the Hope & Keen Scratch Knockout.

In the Junior Scratch Knockout, Connor Aitken held his nerve after being four up on Lewis Knox to win on the last hole.

The seniors also had a close finish with Viv Schofield holding off Mike Donovan to win again on the final green.

The mixed KO also went the distance with Julie and Steve King beating Patricia and Dick Leonard on the last after a hard-fought match.

The men’s foursomes then carried on the trend with Mat Mason and Alun Rose winning on the last against Ollie Brown and George Purvis to avoid going to extra holes.
