RYAN Dovell and Chris Clarke are both doubtful for tonight’s trip to Wells City in the Toolstation Western Premier Division (7.45pm).

The Bridport duo both picked up injuries in last Saturday’s FA Vase defeat against Sherborne Town but on the flip side Russell Legg and Matt Condliffe should return.

Bees’ boss Trevor Senior said: “Ryan suffered a groin injury and Chris picked up a nasty cut on his ear and a bit of concussion following a clash with Sam Filkins. Both players are doubtful for tonight but on the plus side Russell is back after serving a suspension and Matt is available too.”

Senior was extremely disappointed with his side’s first-half display against Sherborne and as a consequence is threatening changes this evening. He added: “We didn’t compete in the first half and the fact the players didn’t seem up for a national competition like that was just baffling to me.

“It was very frustrating to go out of the Vase in that manner and the aim now is to bounce back straight away.

“I might even look to shake things up a bit but we will just have to wait and see.”

Despite having claimed just two wins in their last seven outings in all competitions, Bridport currently lie 10 places above Wells in fifth spot.
