TREVOR Senior has warned his Bees they will be in for “a good hiding” if they fail to perform at high-flying Cadbury Heath tomorrow (3pm).

Since losing their opening-day fixture, Heath have enjoyed a fine run of six wins from seven outings and now sit second in the table.

Their latest triumph was a 6-1 hammering of much-fancied Buckland Athletic and Bridport’s boss knows his men must be on top of their game to have any chance of avoiding successive defeats in the Toolstation Western Premier Division.

He said: “It’s a tough one for us. I may be proved wrong but I believe Buckland and Cad-bury will both be near the top at the end of the season and Cadbury smashed Buckland
6-1 last weekend.

“Every time we have played them I have been impressed with them. We managed to get a 0-0 up there one time but they are a decent side.

“Everyone is beatable on their day and there is no reason why we can’t get anything. The biggest thing for me is knowing what I’m going to get from our side, as right now I don’t know what I’m going to get from one game to the next.

“We need some consistency because if we don’t get it right tomorrow we will get a good hiding.”

The Bees’ cause could be boosted by the return of four key men, including star striker Ryan Dovell.

Senior added: “Ryan didn’t train on Tuesday but hopefully he will back. Chris Clarke is definitely back and Dan Peart and Max Buckler should also be back.

“I’ve now got to decide who won’t be in the squad but it’s a nice position to be in.”

There will though, be one new addition on show in Bristol with former Westland Sports manager Kevin Leigh agreeing to join the Bees’ backroom staff.

Senior said: “We’ve added Kevin to the coaching staff and I’ve known him for a long time, since I was playing at Dorchester. He’s also been at Bridport before so knows the club well.

“When Westland’s first team folded in the summer I asked him if he would be interested in getting involved here. He wasn’t at that stage but he now feels he is ready and I’m pleased to say he will be joining us.

“I have spoken to everyone else on the coaching staff and they are all happy with the situation.
“My assistant Mike Savage has already said this will be his last year so it all ties in quite nicely.
“It’s nice to freshen things up and hopefully we’ll get a few new ideas, and maybe some new contacts.”
