BEDWORTH UNITED 2 (Wesley 39, Piggon 46) WEYMOUTH 0
WEYMOUTH’S desperate search for a change of fortunes goes on following another disappointing defeat at The Oval this afternoon.
The Terras made more than enough chances in this Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division encounter but Bedworth struck either side of the break to condemn Brendon King’s men to a third defeat in four league outings.
Stephen Reed struck a post, Ed Palmer saw a header flash just inches wide and Scott Walker and Dan Smith brought fine saves out of Andrew Kemp. Ultimately though, it was goals from Richard Wesley and Mitchell Piggon that decided matters and the hosts could have had more.
Both scorers also struck the woodwork while Luke Keen saw an effort cleared off the line by Kyle Critchell.
