Dorchester Town Reserves will be out to continue their fine form in the Wyvern Premier League at AFC Portchester tonight (7.45pm).

The Magpies have won their last three on the spin and Dave Kiteley is expecting another professional performance despite the Wicor Recreation Ground being unknown territory for him.

The Dorchester boss told Echosport: “I have never been to Portchester before so I do not know a lot about them.

“What I do know is that they have clearly started the season well and their first team are doing likewise in the Wessex Premier Division so it promises to be a tough game.

“However, if we perform like we did last time out against Salisbury City and I am confident we can keep ticking along.”

Town are still without the services of Danny Way and Calvin Brooks but Jon Garcia is expected to feature along with a couple of other first-team players.

Kiteley added: “Danny picked up a toe injury playing for the under-18s and is a doubt.

“As for Calvin, his knee injury doesn’t look as bad as we first thought and hopefully we will have him back in seven to 10 days.

“Jon Garcia will definitely be involved again but I am still waiting to talk to Phil Simkin (first-team manager) to see if any of the other first-team lads will be with us as well.

“On the whole our performances this season have been outstanding and hopefully they will continue.

“There is some really good talent throughout the club at the minute and the set up is there for any young player with the right attitude and commitment to really succeed.

“The academy, the under-18s, the reserve-team and the first team all trust each other and there is no doubt in my mind that everything is geared up here for a successful future.”

Town currently lie eighth in the table, three points adrift of Portchester, who lie fourth.
