Under-12 Division One

LONGFLEET 0 WEYMOUTH COUGARS 6

DESPITE a two-week break, Cougars returned to action in style, hitting six of the best at Longfleet.

The opening 15 minutes saw chances at both ends go unpunished with both sides failing to get on top.

Weymouth gained the advantage when the lively Nial Turner pounced to score twice.

Sam Croucher then fed a lovely ball through to Ben Robertson who, after a series of rebounds, finally found the net.

After the break, Turner, in midfield, picked out a well-timed pass to Harry Falcus who made no mistake.

Cougars’ keeper Louie Wilkinson then provided a long pass to striker Croucher who supplied Turner and he bagged his hat-trick.

Following a series of passes the ball moved down the right wing to land at the feet of Ed Spearing who bundled it past the keeper for the sixth.

Despite the scoreline the home side continued to attack but were thwarted by a resilient Cougars’ defence and the visitors returned with all three points for the third consecutive time this season.
