SAM Morris and Joel Wilson could both return for Weymouth tomorrow when they tackle Supermarine at Monmouth Avenue in Southern Counties South (3pm).

The two sides were supposed to meet in the quarter-finals of the Dorset & Wilts Cup last weekend but the Swindon outfit chose to forfeit, which handed Weymouth further time to regroup following their heavy defeat at league leaders Sherborne on October 6.

Head coach Paul Harding said: “It was disappointing not to play last weekend but it did give us a chance to work on a few things and allow others a bit more time to recover from injuries.

“As a consequence, Sam Morris should be back this weekend and it has also given Joel Wilson another week to sort his ribs out.

“Unfortunately the latest news on Idris Croft is not so good. He suffered concussion in our victory over Oakmeadians and it appears he could be out for a long time.”

Harding went on to add: “If we get the chance to pick the strongest side that is available at the moment then we will be fine.

“We had a strong side out against Oakmeadians and did well but we always knew we would be up against it at Sherborne, especially with a few missing.

“Hopefully we can bounce back from that tomorrow.

“We have had some good training sessions over the last week and hopefully we can put the things we worked on into practice and come away with a good result.”

Also in Southern Counties South, Dorchester return to action at Walcot (3pm).

The county town side were without a fixture last weekend and will be desperate to avoid a third straight defeat when they visit Albert Field tomorrow.

The Bath-based outfit will also be looking to halt the slide of successive reversals.

Bridport skipper Ricky Stubbs was left frustrated after Warminster handed his side a walkover in the Dorset & Wilts Vase last weekend.

On the positive side, the postponement has set the Blues up with a semi-final clash at Melksham on November 10 but it also means they will now go into tomorrow’s home league clash with Sherborne Seconds (3pm) having not played for three weeks.

Stubbs said: “It was a bit frustrating to say the least and it is not the way we wanted to go through. However, there was nothing we could do about it and all we can do now is focus on Saturday.

“To go three weeks without a game is far from ideal, especially when you want to keep the momentum going after a positive start to the season, but it is what it is and we just have to get on with it.

“Sherborne are a handy side so we are certainly going to need to have our wits about us.”

Bridport boast a 100 per cent record in Dorset & Wilts One South where they currently sit second, four points above Sherborne.

Puddletown are also in action at Monmouth Avenue as they face Weymouth Seconds in a Dorset & Wilts Two South derby clash (3pm).

After a close fought victory against Cricklade, the Villagers will be keen to extend their winning run, but are sure to face a determined challenge from their near neighbours.

Five players – Barry Dovell, Josh Hiscock, John Moise, Dan Udell and Tim Yeatman – who all missed last weekend’s cup win are set to return for the visitors.

Elsewhere, lowly Swanage & Wareham play host to Windsor in South West One East (3pm).
