BRIDPORT return to St Mary’s Field for the first time in four weeks tomorrow, aiming to record their first league win since the end of August.

A fantastic start to the Toolstation Western Premier Division campaign saw the Bees take seven points from their opening three matches.

However, since defeating Longwell Green on August 25, Trevor Senior’s men have collected just three points from a possible 18 and despite sitting ninth in the table they could find themselves being overtaken by third-from-bottom Radstock Town should tomorrow’s opponents prevail in West Dorset (3pm).

Boss Senior said: “Looking at the league table it’s really tight from top to bottom.

“We’re ninth and Radstock are third bottom but if they beat us tomorrow then they will go above us – that’s how tight it is.

“If you can stay in the top half it makes you feel a lot better so we want to stay there as long as possible.”

Like the Bees, Radstock earned a draw against high-flying Larkhall Athletic in their most recent outing and Senior is expecting a stern examination tomorrow afternoon.

He added: “They played Larkhall in midweek and drew 2-2. Kevin Leigh (assistant) went to watch the game and by all accounts they are very bright going forward, so we are expecting a tough game.

“If we play at the level we were at last week we have a chance of getting something from the game but if we play like we did against Winter-bourne a couple of weeks ago then we won’t get anything.

“So we have got to be up for it in order to get a positive result.”

After three successive games on the road, Senior is also looking forward to taking his place in the home dugout.

He added: “We’ve had 11 league games and only three have been at home, so it’ll be nice to be at home tomorrow.

“Hopefully we can use home advantage to our favour. I’ve been pleased with our points return away from home so far, so we have got to make our home form count.”

Defender Alan Hill has now joined fellow globetrotter Chris Senior Down Under while Matt Condliffe is supended following his dismissal in the 3-0 loss at Winterbourne.
