DORCHESTER Town have reached the first round of the FA Cup for the first time in four years.
The Magpies ran out 3-1 winners against lower-league Bury Town but made hard work of their victory, especially as their opponents finished the fourth qualifying round tie with only nine men.
Charlie Clough put the hosts in front with just seven minutes on the clock before Luke Ingram and captain Tom Bullard both received their marching orders in the second half.
Nick Crittenden came off the bench to make it 2-0 in the 87th minute but back came the visitors and they halved the deficit through Connor Hall.
However, with the Blues pushing for a last-gasp leveller, the two-goal cushion was restored in injury-time courtesy of striker Ben Watson.
The Magpies (ball number 76) will discover their first round opponents tomorrow afternoon, with the draw due to take place on ITV1 at 1.30pm.
