Around November time the team starts scattering to warmer climates to get some quality training in.

As some of the Olympic team head to Perth where the ISAF Worlds will be held in 2011 the 2.4’s and Sonars are heading to the west coast of Florida.

We fly at the end of the month which meant a couple of weeks ago we loaded 1 RIB, 3 2.4’s, 1 Sonar, many bikes and lots of kit into a high cube 40ft container which was a challenge.

This week I have been relaxing after a busy year and building a new electric pump for my new boat. I was very happy on Friday because I got a pair of automatic wire strippers which are the greatest thing since slice bread.

Being able to do electrics is important in our class as maintaining a pump system under the water is difficult. But now I have my new toy it will make my life a lot easier.

On Sunday I went Sailing on Draig out of Weymouth Sailing Club for the last sail of the series. There were still four boats that could win the series so was a very interesting race.
