LONDON 2012 canoe slalom gold medallist Tim Baillie will be the star of the show at the Weymouth Ecover Blue Mile on July 19-20.
Baillie, above, is going to be taking part in some of the water sports at the two-day event, which is part of the town’s Festival of Sports.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what facilities they’ve got there and to see what opportunities there are for members of the public to try water sports,” he said.
Members of the public also have the chance to try activities such as swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.
There are opportunities for both individual and team competitions over a variety of distances, and the event will cater for families with children and those wishing to push their own personal limits.
An event village is set to feature activities linked to sport, health and the environment, with opportunities for taster sessions and demonstrations.
