THE Chesil Sailing Trust is pleased to announce a youth sail training opportunity in conjunction with Adventure Under Sail and Synergy Housing.

A competition to win a place on a voyage from Weymouth from April 29 to May 2, 2016 is now open. The four places, which are worth £300 per person, are being funded in full by the Chesil Sailing Trust.

John Tweed, chairman of Chesil Sailing Trust, said: “We are delighted to partner with Synergy Housing Association and Adventure Under Sail to offer four places for young people to experience the thrills and challenges of sailing on a tall ship completely free of charge.”

“This will complement our other programmes whereby we are offering places on the voyage through schools locally and in London. If you have always wanted to set sail on a tall ship, but have not had the chance or not been able to afford it, enter this competition and see if you can convince us to give you the opportunity.”

Four young people from Dorset, aged 15 to 18 years, will win a sail training voyage on board TS Pelican next spring.

Entrants need to complete the following sentence: “I want to win this competition and go on a tall ship voyage because…”
