THE Portland Branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) has donated money to a local charity.
The RNA has raised £800 for the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust by means of raffles and donations.
RNA chairman Ben Cartwright and treasurer Peter Shoesmith presented the cheque to David Evans, chairman of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust at a recent meeting.
Dr Evans said: “This is a wonderful effort by a group of people who have been very generous to the Trust on previous occasions.
“This money will go towards our appeal to help the West Dorset Cancer Centre at Dorset County Hospital become a reality.”
