A 2.4mR Open held at Frensham Pond Sailing Club was won by a Weymouth sailor for the seventh time.

Megan Pascoe, the current 2.4mR world champion found the conditions challenging with wind shifts and changes in wind strength.

She said: "It was a very pleasant weekend at Frensham Pond. We had around fifteen boats in some very changeable conditions as always in Frensham.

"The results were a lot closer than they looked, I had to work very hard to win. It is always a good lesson in boat handling and keeping your cool."

The next focus on Pasoce's calendar will be the Squib National Championships. The Event will take place at Weymouth Sailing Club at the end of June.

She is really looking forward to the event and said: "With 60 boats already entered, it should be a good week to be around Brewers Quay and Weymouth Sailing Club."
