WEYMOUTH’S own sailing star was crowned world champion in the International 14 class.
Sam Pascoe competed with his regular helm, Glen Truswell, at the Yacht Club de Carnac in France.
A total of seven races took place with the pair securing three race wins, a pair of second places, a fifth and a seventh position.
In a stellar performance, the duo secured the title, which they also won in 2015, with one race to spare.
Their incredible scoreline left Pascoe and Truswell ahead of the nearest competitors, Roger Gilbert and Ben McGrane by six points.
They were even heard to be sharing tips and advice to other competitors in the dinghy park before the event had concluded.
