DEFENDER Tiago Sa has agreed a one-year deal with the Terras for next season.
The promising full-back, who has impressed for both the club’s reserve and first team this term, put pen to paper ahead of the club’s presentation night.
Sa, pictured right, who featured for the first team more regularly during the latter stages of the campaign, has caught the attention of Weymouth boss Mark Molesley, who insists he will be doing all he can to help the youngster reach his full potential.
Speaking after the deal was done, the Terras’ boss told Echosport: “In the last three games with Paul (Maitland, assistant) and I in charge, I think Tiago played two out of the three, so it shows what we thought of him.
“He is everything we are looking for at the club. He’s young, he’s hungry, has lots of potential and is one that we think we can make even better.
“He is a real asset for the club.”
He added: “Full credit goes to Brad (Asagba, reserves’ boss) for going to find him and bringing him in.
“It’s now a case of what Tiago does with how he comes back into pre-season both in his frame of mind and physical condition.
“Knowing Tiago as we do, I am sure he will turn up fit, fighting, and ready to stake a claim.”
