WEYMOUTH Rowing Club held their end of season party at the Sailing Club, followed by a race along the bay in the winter sunshine the day after.
The straight line course was a good introduction to racing for new members and allowed squad, improvers, youth and normally non-competitive rowers to compete together in timed races.
Cake and hot drinks were served at the boatshed which helped in light of the windy conditions.
The winning crews from each heat were awarded a prize and the winners, with a time of 7.33 min, were awarded the intra club trophy.
More club events will happen in the New Year as it is a great opportunity for club members to row in mixed crews and for our newest members to get a taste of racing.
