BRIDPORT can take a big stride towards securing second place in Division Four tomorrow when they go to Pimperne.

The West Dorset side are currently on course to claim the runner-up spot with Wareham having already clinched the title.

However, Bridport’s opponents this weekend sit third in the table 14 points adrift heading into the clash at Priory Field.

Captain Liam Toohill makes two changes to the team that beat Sherborne Seconds last Saturday with Calvin Lewis and Jamie Dollman the men to miss out.

Dollman was unfortunate to break a toe against Sherborne so Toby Hall comes back into the top order and Billy Browning dons the wicketkeeper’s gloves.

Portland Red Triangle skipper Simon Barrett will lead his troops out against second-placed Cattistock in Division Three knowing it will be a tough test for the hosts at Reforne.

And there are as many as four changes to the islanders’ side from the one that overcame Parley Seconds.

Chris Leake (pictured right), Ryan Price, Alex Johnson and Chris Theakstone are given their chance to impress with Chris Brown, Matt Randell, John Walker and Tony Morris sitting this one out.

“It will be tough as Cattistock are in second place but if we play to our potential we should be able to win it,” said Barrett.

Portland Seconds are away to Shillingstone Seconds in Division Five North & West.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Will Everitt’s Beaminster have a great chance to get a victory under their belts when Winton Seconds visit Memorial Field.

The rock-bottom visitors have been going through the motions for some time now and Beam-inster can complete a league double over them following an easy win back in June.

They are without Jack Walklett but Wes Lewis and Max Barton are back in.
