DORCHESTER skipper Simon Mitchem is more than willing to win ugly at Broadstone tomorrow (1pm) if it means his team can end their wait for a second victory of the season.

Mitchem remains confident that the county town outfit have what it takes to pull themselves clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

And he feels that if they "click" this weekend then their surge up the table will start sooner rather than later.

But, when it comes down to it, he is not too fussed by how they get over the line against Broadstone at the Delph, just as long as they do.

"We played there last year against their second team, though obviously this is going to be tougher.

"It helps that we've managed to keep a similar side to last week, so we'll be looking to go there and get that second win of the season.

"We've played some decent cricket and been unlucky, especially in the last two games.

"We've just got to keep plugging away to try and grind out a result.

"It doesn't matter how we get it, we've just got to get another win.

"If not then we at least need to pick up as many points as we can.

"If we play how we have been playing then I'm sure we'll start picking up some wins and points.

"It is very difficult when you're near the bottom of the table, but it's not like we're playing really badly.

"If we were being skittled out for 70 or 80 every week it might be different, but that's not happening.

"We've got strength in depth in our batting and bowling and it has got to click at some point. Hopefully it will be this weekend.

"I've got a good bunch of lads and the team spirit is good."

Mitchem makes three changes to the side that lost at Wimborne & Colehill last time out.

Steve Clifford, James Dunham and Will Channon are out, with Pete Phillips, Pete Horne and George Foot coming in.

Spinner Foot steps up from the second XI, Horne has been away at university and is a straight swap for opening bowler Dunham, while batsman Phillips replaces the unavailable Clifford.

Meanwhile, in County Division Three, third-placed Dorchester Seconds host winless Wareham.

Dorchester: Fitzgerald, Phillips, Miller, Belt, Mitchem (c), Evans, Morris, Roe, Horne, Foot, Blair.
