WEYMOUTH captain Simon Browne has a selection headache ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Christchurch (1.30pm), but it is something he is relishing.

In his side’s indifferent season, Browne has only had the bare 11 players for their matches each week.

However, they will have 14 players available for their away fixture, meaning the skipper can pick primarily on form.

He said: “We have Dean Janaway, Dominic Webb, Dan Hutchings and Neil Walton all available for the game.

“We can base the selection on a bit of form.

“We want to have a situation where people are fighting to get into the team and we haven’t had that luxury yet, but we’re getting there.”

With Janaway in to support the batting, Browne knows his bowlers have to step up and improve if Weymouth are to get their season back on track.

He added: “The bowling has not been as good as it should’ve been.

“We bowl well and then follow it up with some wayward bowling.

“I place myself firmly in that group, so a few of us need to take the bull by the horns and maybe we can skittle them (Christchurch) out for a low score.”
