THE destiny of the title is still undecided as rain hit the latest round of fixtures.

One game that was played in Division One saw Puddletown defeat Dewlish.

Puddletown wicketkeeper Adam Stevens with 64 saw his side to 130-6 and then J Richardson with two wickets for 11 in his four overs and Adam Wier with 1-11 in three overs reduced Dewlish to 21-4.

Justin Miller (47) and Dan Howe (25) led something of a comeback, but Dewlish were left five runs short.

Puddletown are due to host St George's on Wednesday tonight in their last chance to deny the title to the Saints.

Meanwhile, Martinstown are running out of games to avoid relegation to Division Two.

Their replacements will be either Charlton Down or Plush.

The latter team kept up the pressure with a good win at Abbotsbury so we might yet be heading for a play-off to decide the title and promotion place.

In Division Three, ASM finished their season going down by nine wickets to Puddletown Reserves.

Adam Wier’s three wickets for 10 kept ASM in check and then M Crabb (32no) and Kieran Knight (24no) got Puddletown home with four overs to spare.

In their local derby game, Cosmos comfortably beat ground-sharers Winfrith to complete their fixtures with 18 points.

They must now wait to see whether Dorchester Casuals can match that total by winning all their remaining games in order to set up another play-off.
