WINLESS Weymouth Seconds will be hoping for a change of fortunes tomorrow when they entertain Beaminster at Redlands (2pm).

Having scratched a game earlier this month, the Seasiders currently sit 57 points adrift at the basement and in desperate need of a lift if they are to stand any chance of clambering out of the mire.

In order to do that they will need to bat much better for the remainder of the campaign, having averaged just 123 with the willow over the course of their six outings so far, in which they have been bowled out on all but one occasion.

As for Beaminster, they sit third-bottom with just one win to their name but they will go into this weekend’s clash with some confidence having pushed Witchampton all the way last time out, only to go down by a single wicket.

Richard Runyard will be the man tasked with knocking over Weymouth’s top order and if his form last Saturday is anything to go by, when he took 6-37 from 12 overs, the Seasiders could be in for another difficult afternoon.

Seconds: M Pearce, Monk, Armfield, Gordon, Doidge, Batchelor, Tucker, Boggust, Puckett, Sers, Mitchell.
