DORCHESTER cricketer Pete Moxom is hoping for an Indian summer.
Moxom, 19, was one of the leading lights in the county town team's promotion push last season is going into the new Dorset Premier League campaign with a £1,000 sponsorship package from sub-continent cricket company BDM under his belt.
The Indian firm agreed to support the teenager as part of their scheme to back up and coming players throughout the country.
And Moxom, who also plays for Dorset, is the envy of his team-mates as he shows off the two bats, pads, whites, helmet, gloves, bag and protective gear provided by the Indian firm.
He said: "Everyone involved in cricket will tell you how expensive it can be to kit yourself out these days.
"For a young player like myself this sort of deal is a godsend. Now I just want to repay their faith by making a stack of runs for Dorchester and Dorset over the summer."
