PORTLAND Red Triangle skipper Martin Hewson has admitted his side face a tough test tomorrow at Reforne in the form of league leaders Cranborne (2pm).
The Cranes have won seven of their eight games so far this summer which included a seven-wicket victory over Red Triangle at Pennys Lane on the opening day of the Dorset League Division Three campaign. Their other encounter was postponed.
Hewson said: "They are top of the league for a reason. They have not been beaten yet this season and they are a very strong side so it is going to be a difficult one for us but we are looking forward to the challenge. It will be a good test for us to see how we have improved from the start of the season."
Portland have made two changes to the line up that claimed a 141-run victory at bottom club Kingston Lacy last week with Darren Hawdon and Sam Polley returning and replacing Grant Neven and Fred Ogley.
Hewson said: "We have a strong side and as we are the home side this time we should be able to give them a very tough game.
"We have only won once at Reforne so far this season with our other two victories coming away, so we are looking to put on a good performance."
Portland RT: Hewson, Dixon, Barrett, Skinner, Rathanayake, Gomm, West, Polley, Hawdon, Davey, Smart.
* Portland Seconds travel to Cranborne Seconds tomorrow in Division Seven (2pm).
The Cranes are third-bottom and one place above the islanders, who have only won twice so far this season.
Portland RT: Tombs, Qualye, Laming, D Males, S Males, M Males, Sawyer, Strong, Laws, Whisker, Cole.
