DORCHESTER TOWN 1 TONBRIDGE ANGELS 2
MARK Jermyn remains confident he will be available to face Plymouth Argyle, despite fears he had sustained a fractured cheekbone in this afternoon's 2-1 defeat to Tonbridge Angels.
The county town captain clashed heads with Tom Davis in the first half and despite returning to the action, he looked to be in some distress.
Jermyn was substituted at the break, with the Magpies trailing to a Chris Piper double, and subsequently taken to hospital - which was later confirmed by boss Phil Simkin.
But since then, the skipper has ruled out a fracture, telling Echosport he has merely suffered heavy bruising.
During today's contest, Jon Garcia reduced the deficit with a superb effort just 20 seconds into the second period but the hosts were unable to find a leveller and so fell to their first home defeat of the campaign.
See Monday's Echosport for full report and reaction.
* Jamie Reid's loan from Exeter City has been extended by three days, allowing him to feature in the FA Cup match against Argyle.
