PHIL Simkin surprisingly shunned Echosport following last night’s heavy defeat at struggling Havant & Waterlooville.
Happy to take all the plaudits for the club’s recent cup exploits, the Dorchester Town boss ignored several calls from the newspaper before finally refusing to comment on the 4-0 humbling.
The defeat was the Magpies’ fourth loss in their last five league games and it seems like the pressure is beginning to show.
Echosport had also hoped to get a reaction from Simkin concerning Luton Town’s FA Cup replay victory at Nuneaton, which will now see the Magpies visit Kenilworth Road in the second round on December 1.
Town, who now lie 13th in Blue Square Bet South, return to action on Saturday with a trip to Maidenhead United.
