Terras to host Pitch on the Pitch festival
8:19am Monday 28th January 2013 in Football By Adam Summers
VENUE: The Bob Lucas Stadium
TICKETS are set to go on sale for the ‘Pitch on the Pitch’ festival at Weymouth FC’s Bob Lucas Stadium.
The event is scheduled for Sun-day, May 26 and includes live music from headline acts The Dolmen and the Skimmity Hitchers.
Wob and Tia Roos are also on the bill and are expected to be joined by other bands during a 10-hour session of entertainment that will take place on a stage inside the stadium between 1pm and 11pm.
Camping is also included in the ticket price with the site due to open at 11am. All campers will need to be clear of the stadium by midday on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27.
People will also be able to take in their own food and drink (no glass bottles) for consumption in the camping area but it will not be permitted in the stage area.
The event is open to everyone over the age of 16 but anyone that appears to be under 25 will be asked for proof of ID when it comes to purchasing alcohol.
Various Lulworth Skipper scrumpy offerings will be available on the day and the club’s cafe and fully licensed bar will also be open.
Those that book tickets before March 31 will gain entry at a discounted rate of £18 per person. Bookings after that date will cost £22/pp while pay on the day will be £25/pp.
All monies raised will be donated to Weymouth FC to help fund things like pitch maintenance and players.
