Dorchester pull off shock victory over league leaders

DORCHESTER TOWN 2 (Smeeton 26, Watson 75)

SALISBURY CITY 1 (White 76)

JAKE Smeeton and Ben Watson were both on target as the Magpies pulled off a shock victory over Salisbury at the Avenue Stadium this afternoon.

Dorchester were put under pressure for long periods in the game but defended like warriors to eventually claim the spoils with keeper Jason Matthews pulling off some fine saves.

Smeeton put the hosts in front on 26 minutes after some fine work from Charlie Clough and Sam Malsom, before Watson added the second after the break following a knock down from the impressive Nathan Walker.

Jamie White then pulled one back just seconds later but Dorchester held on for the points to the delight of the home faithful.
