JAKE Richmond wants his players to rediscover their passing game tomorrow as they search for three points at bottom club Blandford United (3pm).

Weymouth Reserves’ boss Rich-mond was delighted with the 5-0 win over Poole Borough last time out but felt the team didn’t hit the heights of their performance against Sherborne Reserves a week earlier.

“We performed brilliantly at Sherborne but were not as good against Poole,” he said. “We just got the job done in that game.

“We got involved in a bit of a niggly match and never really got into our normal flow.

“I want us to get back to playing our style of football tomorrow and pass the ball around.

“I’d love for us to play as well as we did against Sherborne every week.

“We know there are sides that are going to try and slow games down and break up the play, but dealing with that is part of the learning curve for the lads.”

Jamie Beasley is unavailable for the Terras this weekend but Ashley Staines returns to the squad.

Commenting further on Bland-ford, Richmond added: “They are struggling but you never know what will happen.

“We have taken a couple of thumpings there and it is a bit of a bogey ground for us.

“But if we perform like I expect us to then the result should take care of itself.”

Meanwhile, Portland United could make it eight wins from eight in the league with three points at Merley Cobham Sports.

Blues’ boss Gary Bailey is without Alex Halloran and Carl Mutch, however, Charlie Holland is expected to return to the squad after a hip injury.

“We’ve had a good start and confidence is high,” said Bailey. “But we have to put that behind us, reset, and go again during September.”

And Bridport Reserves can secure a third triumph on the trot when they visit Wareham Ran-gers.

Bees’ manager Robin Townsend has had a few issues in finding a goalkeeper for the game.

Jamie Fry is on first-team duty due to Ashley Weeks’s absence and Billy Fleet has left the club – Townsend was hoping to fill the position last night.

“I’d like us to continue our run,” he said. “Wareham is a tricky place to go and we’ve always had good games against them.

“They always seem to be one of the teams around us in the league so it’s nice to pick up points against those sides.”
