CHICKERELL boss Steve Coward believes his side will learn a lot more about how far they have come over the summer, as they take on Holt United at the Stalls on Saturday (3pm).
A five-goal blast saw the Chickens dismantle last season’s bottom side Okeford United on the opening day, but it was a victory that left Coward still pondering his side’s title credentials.
“This week will be a bigger test for us playing Holt,” he told Echosport.
“They are always a physical side and are quite direct, they have some decent players in their set-up but I feel we have one of the better squads that Chickerell have had for a long time at the moment, we can give any team in this league more than a good game.
“It will show us what we are all about.”
Elsewhere in the division, Balti House will be looking to serve up another tasty performance, as they look for back-to-back league wins when they lock horns at Okeford United (3pm).
Playing their first game at their new Milborne St Andrew Sports Field home, Dorchester Sports will be bidding for their first victory of the campaign when they clash with Witchampton United (3pm).
