BRIDPORT v SHEPTON MALLET
BRIDPORT could record successive league wins for the first time this season if they see off Shepton Mallet at St Mary’s Field tonight (7.45pm).
The Bees sit eighth in the Toolstation Western Premier Division, two places behind Mallet on goal difference, having secured a third victory of the campaign on Satur- day.
Two-goal Warren Byerley inspired Trevor Senior’s side to a 3-1 success over Winter-bourne, though the Bees’ boss knows Mallet will provide a sterner examination for his men.
“Shepton Mallet will be a difficult game,” he said. “They beat Melksham at home on Saturday and are likely to be a bit tougher than the sides we’ve played recently.
“They have come up from the league below and made a good start to the season, but hopefully we can build on Satur-day’s result and get a good run going.”
Shane Evans, pictured, could be added to the Bridport squad for tonight’s clash, but Ryan Dovell remains sidelined with a groin problem.
Jamie Symes should shake off a knock to his knee to keep his place in the team.
Mallet, sixth in the table, have won their last two, including a 6-2 thrashing of Bradford Town.
