JASON Matthews is looking to add as many as three faces to his Terras’ squad before they travel to Slough Town tomorrow (3pm).

Looking to bounce back after a difficult defeat against Paulton Rovers in midweek, where the Weymouth player-manager admitted his side were lacking in numbers, Matthews’ men are aiming to complete a league double over the Rebels, who currently lie 12th in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

He told Echosport: “Hopefully we will have some new faces by tomorrow to give the squad a bolstering, that’s nothing to do with the way anyone has played though, because the squad has been fantastic.

“I just feel we need a bit of a boost. Playing with only one recognised centre-half for the last couple of games has been a bit of a frustrating period.

“I have no doubts that I will get a reaction out of the boys, a lot of the lads were bitterly disappointed the other night.

“It’s another massively tough game, Slough did very well against us at home and I am expecting it to be the same again.

“Their manager has come and done his homework on us in the week, we will treat them with respect but we want to bounce back and get back to winning ways.”

Two unnamed defenders and an unnamed striker are anticipated to link up with the squad prior to kick off this weekend.

Goals from Adam Kelly, Chris Shephard and Stewart Yetton gave the league leaders a 3-2 win in the reverse fixture at the Bob Lucas Stadium in September.

But Shephard will not be available to manager Matthews, as he records the first of a three-game suspension.

Yetton is rumoured to have bought a form of protective headwear in a bid to mask the brutal gash he sustained on Tuesday evening, which forced him to go to hospital during Tuesday’s reverse.

Matthews added: “Yetts is very keen to play but the cut is still quite nasty.

“He has seven stitches in it and I am very wary of that, I wouldn’t want to jeopardise his health and if the cut opens up again, it would take longer for it to fully heal “I know how desperate Yetts is to play and no doubt he will be trying some sort of Petr Cech helmet.”

Sam Poole is also set to be ruled out once again as his broken nose continues to heal.
